Stop Waiting on others, Independence does not mean Loneliness

Stop Waiting on others, Independence does not mean Loneliness

Sunday thoughts…
A little prep for the week ahead, for anyone this resonates with 💛

I speak to so many people who say,
“I wish I could do what you do, Colleen.”

So let me be honest —
I was once one of those people too.
Wishing. Watching. Waiting.

If you have the power to travel alone, eat alone in a restaurant, or go to a concert alone — you can do anything in life.

I used to be scared of being alone.
Not lonely… alone.

Until I stopped expecting other people to contribute to my happiness. That’s when everything shifted.

Spending time on my own taught me who I am, what I enjoy, what I tolerate — and what I don’t.
No distractions. No noise. No expectations.

But I also want to be clear — this journey was never about cutting people out.

I have family and friends who have always been there.
A big circle I treasure deeply.
They are — and always will be — my heart.

I still struggle with work/life balance at times (I’m human),
but everything I’ve done has led me to where I am right now.

And the good thing is — the work I do is built around the things I love.

When you’re happy from the inside out, company becomes a bonus, not a requirement.

And when you choose your people, rather than depend on them — the connection is even stronger.

Learning to sit with yourself is powerful.
It builds confidence, clarity, and freedom.

And once you have that…
you realise you were never missing anything at all 💛

If this resonates, maybe this is your sign to do one small thing on your own this week — just for you.

Thank you, Love You, Bye! P.S This is my next T-shirt/Hoodie Slogan 😁😇😅
